User Testing & Feedback Program
Why User Feedback Matters
Traditional accessibility tools are often built in isolation, without ongoing input from the disability community and accessibility advocates who use them daily. Aberio takes a different approach. We believe that those who face accessibility barriers every day have the most valuable insights into how testing tools should work.
Every piece of feedback—whether it's about a confusing workflow, a missed barrier type, or a feature request—helps us improve. This isn't just about bug reports; it's about co-creating a tool that truly serves the accessibility community.
How the Program Works
1. Multiple Feedback Channels
We collect feedback through several channels to ensure everyone can participate in the way that works best for them:
- User Testing Sessions: Scheduled sessions where you test specific features and provide detailed feedback
- Ongoing Feedback: Submit observations, issues, or suggestions anytime through our contact form
- Email Submissions: Send detailed feedback directly to AberioReport@gmail.com
- Community Discussions: Share experiences and insights with other users and advocates
2. Transparent Storage & Access
Google Drive Repository
All user feedback is stored in an organized Google Drive repository. This includes:
- Test session recordings and transcripts (with permission)
- Written feedback submissions
- Feature requests and prioritization
- Bug reports and resolution tracking
- Accessibility improvement suggestions
Why Google Drive? It provides structured organization, easy access controls, and the ability to share specific folders with stakeholders, researchers, and the accessibility community when appropriate. All data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, with personal information removed or anonymized as needed.
3. From Feedback to Action
Here's what happens after you submit feedback:
- Review & Categorization: Within 1-2 business days, your feedback is reviewed and categorized (bug, feature request, workflow improvement, etc.)
- Priority Assessment: We evaluate impact, frequency, and alignment with accessibility best practices
- Development Planning: High-priority items are added to our development roadmap
- Implementation: Changes are built, tested, and deployed
- Follow-up: We may reach out for clarification or to verify that the solution addresses your concern
Governance & Transparency
Our Commitment to Open Development
Aberio operates with a governance model that prioritizes community input. We're committed to:
- Transparency: Regular updates on what feedback we've received and how it's being addressed
- Accountability: Clear documentation of decision-making processes
- Accessibility: Ensuring the feedback process itself is fully accessible
- Privacy: Protecting user data while maintaining openness about product direction
- Recognition: Acknowledging contributors who help improve Aberio (with their permission)
This approach ensures that Aberio remains accountable to the community it serves. By documenting feedback and our responses in an organized repository, we create a record that demonstrates our commitment to continuous improvement and user-centered design.
