1. Agreement to Terms
By using the Aberio Report accessibility testing tool, you agree to these Terms of Service. Aberio is designed for accessibility advocates, development teams, government professionals, and anyone who wants to test web pages for accessibility barriers.
2. Using the Free Tool
2.1 What You Get
- Completely free: No payment, no subscription, no hidden costs
- No signup required: Use the bookmarklet directly in your browser
- Test any webpage for keyboard navigation struggles, focus management issues, WCAG violations, and friction patterns
- Generate HTML reports that you can download and share with your team
- Edit and collaborate on reports with built-in Monaco code editor
2.2 How It Works
Aberio is a browser bookmarklet that runs locally in your browser. When you click the bookmark:
- It loads the testing tool onto the current page
- You interact with the page for 90 seconds
- Aberio analyzes behavioral patterns and WCAG violations
- You can download an interactive HTML report
- All analysis happens in your browser - nothing is sent to our servers
2.3 Privacy & Data
We take your privacy seriously:
- No account creation or login required
- No tracking of which sites you test
- Test results stay in your browser
- Reports are generated locally and saved to your device
- We never see what pages you're testing or what issues you find
3. Permitted & Prohibited Uses
3.1 Permitted Uses
You may use the Aberio testing tool to:
- Test any webpage for accessibility barriers
- Document accessibility issues for advocacy work
- Support ADA compliance efforts and barrier removal discussions
- Share reports with teammates, developers, and stakeholders
- Generate evidence for accessibility improvement projects
- Educate colleagues about accessibility patterns and issues
- Use reports in internal organizational workflows
3.2 Prohibited Uses
You may NOT:
- Use Aberio reports as compliance certification - Aberio detects patterns and friction, not full WCAG compliance
- Misrepresent Aberio's capabilities to clients or organizations
- Claim Aberio guarantees legal compliance - it's a testing tool, not legal certification
- Reverse engineer or modify the Aberio bookmarklet code
- Remove attribution or branding from generated reports
- Use the tool for malicious purposes or to exploit security vulnerabilities
4. Intellectual Property
4.1 Ownership
The Aberio testing tool, behavioral noise analysis methodology, and related materials are owned by Aberio Report, LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. The behavioral noise detection system is patent pending.
4.2 License Grant
By using Aberio, you receive a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:
- Use the Aberio bookmarklet for accessibility testing
- Generate and share Aberio reports
- Use reports for internal and external accessibility advocacy
- Collaborate with teams using generated reports
5. Disclaimers & Limitations
5.1 Tool Limitations
Critical Disclaimer: The Aberio tool is a triage instrument that detects behavioral friction. It is NOT:
- A comprehensive WCAG 2.1 compliance checker
- A replacement for testing with real disabled users
- A certification of accessibility
- Legal advice or legal representation
Aberio helps you identify where to focus accessibility efforts - it does not replace human judgment, assistive technology testing, or legal counsel.
5.2 No Warranties
The tool is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. We make no guarantees that:
- The tool will detect all accessibility barriers
- Aberio reports will guarantee legal outcomes
- The tool will work on all websites
- Access will be uninterrupted or error-free
5.3 Limitation of Liability
Since Aberio is free, Aberio Report LLC provides no warranty and assumes no liability. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the tool.
6. Privacy & Data
6.1 What We Don't Collect
Aberio is designed for maximum privacy:
- No account creation or email collection
- No payment information
- No tracking of websites you test
- No test results or reports sent to us
- No usage analytics or behavioral tracking
6.2 What We Collect
We only collect basic website analytics (via Google Analytics) on our splash page to understand:
- How many people visit the site
- What pages they view
- General geographic location

7. Updates & Changes
7.1 Tool Updates
We may update the Aberio tool to:
